Anyone see Bob Novak (re: Porter Goss) on John Gibson's show? |
|
My wife was saying that Novak seemed to smell a seriously HUGE story re: Porter Goss' resignation, but couldn't quite sniff out what it was.
She got the sense that he smelled blood and was extremely thirsty.
Novak has no love for this White House anymore. This is getting fun.
Anyone see this or know where I could find a clip online?

1. No, but a lot of us find the "hookergate" resignation awfully |
|
suspicious, given his recent push to try to gag former agents and prevent them from writing books critical of the administration.
Something smells. Novak is right about that.

2. You're right, do you think Hookergate is really the problem? |
|
Firing Goss without warning on a Friday afternoon at the same time a Kennedy driving under the influence story is dominating the news cycle REEKS of panic.
They usually don't panic, they just spin.
This has to be bigger scandal than hookers and corruption. They've had hookers and corruption problems before, and they didn't panic.
This must be HUGE!

4. A gay prostitution ring, and possibly intentionally photographing |
|
high officials in sensitive positions for bribery purposes?
Do you think that the old methods of J. Edgar Hoover lived on after his death?
This is getting juicy.

6. Remember this quote attributed to LBJ: I don't trust a man until I have |
|
his pecker in my pocket.
Or words to that effect.
Another DUer posted it here earlier this week. Damn, I'm sorry I didn't take note of who it was. He or she deserves credit for bringing that one out of mothballs, though. It's as worthy a comment on their strategic thinking as is the one about keeping your friends close but your enemies closer.
Wouldn't surprise me at all if some bushco people look at tactics like this as another way to ensure the die-hard "loyalty" they seem to prize so ardently.

Christ Mathews is pissed because he felt that he shouldn't have been picked instead of Tony Snow. (JMO
Novak is pissed cuz the White House told CNN to get rid of his stinky ass. (JMO)

7. but isn't Novak implicated? |
|
I think I saw somewhere that Novak was one of those who helped himself to the "goodies" at the hospitality suites.
