Spot the Red-Flag: "Kennedy's Disclosure Outrages Some in R.I."
Do you see the red flag in this headline? It's the word "SOME." And it's typical. (As in, "some say," "some are calling for," "some believe," etc...) And all such sentences are virtually irrefutable, because SOMEbody is bound to think, feel, say, etc. whatever-it-is. And if it's about Democrats, it's probably Republicans.

Sure enough. Click the title, and there's THIS:

By MICHELLE R. SMITH, Associated Press Writer 45 minutes ago

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Conservative talk radio shows in Rep. Patrick Kennedy (news, bio, voting record)'s home state buzzed with outrage and calls for him to resign after he announced he was entering rehab for prescription drug addiction.

1. Conservative is a dirty word in RI
I think it will bring Kennedy's popularity up. The right wing wacko's (the few thee are in RI) can rant all they like.
it will just push people closer to Kennedy.

3. I am OUTRAGED because Democrats are not out in force screaming
about the cover-up when Cheney shot a man in the face. There was NO POLICE INVESTIGATION in that case but somehow that seems to have totally left the fcuked up minds of Republicans.

To me this seems as illogical as comparing a presidential blowjob with presidential crime against Americans.

6. Michelle is usually pretty fair
The reporter doesn't write the headline. She's been pretty fair in her reporting recently. the headline, however, sucks!
