she came in after some early press problems (the Washington Post profile most notoriously) and became THK's right hand lady. I had the honor of having interfaced with THK's group, and Laura was definately a) a dem, b) taking shit from no one, c) a doer -- like a Mr. Wolf of politics (Pulp Fiction reference).
