Rupert Murdoch agrees to host fundraiser for Hillary Clinton
Murdoch's surprise decision to raise money for Clinton in July, on behalf of NEWS CORP., parent company of FOXNEWS and the NEW YORK POST, underlines a dramatic turn of relations between Murdoch and Clinton, who in 1998 coined the phrase “vast rightwing conspiracy” to denounce critics of her husband.

If Rupert Murdoch approves of someone's Senate career, should you? (It would make us wary.) And what do you think it was? Was it this joint appearance with Rick Santorum, Sam Brownback and the lone approved Democrat of Fox News' Sean Hannity, Joe Lieberman? Her right-wing pandering on the "hot button" issue of flag burning? Or her mushy stance on Iraq?

I can't wait to hear the Hillary fans spin this.

Also the one with the most money who will buy the most advertising when the time comes?
and the one that can detract from the real issues the most?

10. Hillary aint my fave but.....
This info comes from Matt Drudge does it not? I find it hard to believe that even the most centrist and insulated Dem would not see the sheer folly in associating with Murdoch. I'm going to need to see some corroboration of this one, it reeks of disinfo.

14. Remember, it was Bill who allowed media consolidation
Bill Clinton did a lot to help Rupert Murdoch grow his media empire in the US. This is one more reminder that Hillary is a corporate Democrat.

15. If you needed ANY clue that Murdoch wants Hillary in 2008....
...this is it.

Murdoch wants Hillary to be the 2008 nominee. Set her up like a bowling pin....and knock her down.

17. Welp.... only thing I have to say....
..is that hopefully Hillary knows what the hell she's doing and will get the last laugh in this whole deal.

Seems like her supporters would be turned off by the event.. but then again, maybe she'll drain Murdoch for every cent possible, then wind up spending it all on Democrats?

I'm still one of those who think there's no way she's running in '08..

She doesn't need the $$$ for 2006, so I'm hoping she's pulling a fast one on Rupert.
