1. If the deployed troops were asked that question
Edited on Tue May-09-06 11:13 AM by lebkuchen
the answer wouldn't have anything to do with fishing.

Must be nice, though, to be a war president on vacation all the time.

I met somebody just today who was separating from the army. He was asked to go on a third tour to Iraq, and he said, "Eff it. I'm getting out." Soon 3/4 of our former army will be joining Bush on the lake.

Way to go, Chimpy.

2. I've thought about this reply for some time, and
I can't decide if it's just exhibit number 1,495,597 demonstrating the war on terror is hype and his head's nowhere near where they want ours to be, or if, with a string of failure after failure, it really is his best moment.

3. What a liar!!!!
The world record for a perch was set in Maryland in March of 2006 and that perch was 3 pounds 5 ounces. He claims to have caught a fish that was more than twice the size of the world record. Sorry to point out that he is a liar even about a fish, but as an avid fisher(woman), I smelled something FISHY!! LOL.

4. He probably weighed 'em all together...
...you know what I mean?
All the fish that floated on his private pond after the dynamite went off.

Because if his fishing is anything like his policy-making, bush dynamites fish.

11. Thank you for the angling note swap offer!
We just bought a little fishing boat with a really big motor that we are going to fix up. We decided to name her the "Hope It Floats". LOL!!!!

6. Bush's pick for his greatest moment should come as no shock to anyone.
Don't most fish stories stretch the truth?

8. I am surprised that his worst moment wasn't when he fell off
his bike and skinned his face. Or when he ran over that London bobbie and knocked him flat.

God, I can hardly wait to see what Mollie Ivins does with this one.
