Gore/Obama in 2008 - That's the ticket!
I've seen the posts re Edwards and Obama - but Edwards doesn't do it for me. He's smart and says the right things - but something about him rubs me the wrong way (at least for a President).

After seeing the video of Al Gore on SNL making the State of the Union address, and after finding that most of what he said in 2000 has come true, I think he should go for it again.

After all, he did win in 2000. And Obama would give the balance we need. Yes, that's the ticket.

3. I'm not crazy about Obama
He's been over-hyped by the DLC. I can't think of a single thing he's done that's courageous or progressive.

8. I do think breaking the color barrier on the VP would be wonderful.
It would be a young and optimistic ticket - very hopeful. I like it.

I also think Gore/Clark would be good.

I like Brian Schweitzer and he is great on the environment, great personality, etc. That is an intriguing one also.

A woman or a hispanic ....

There are many good options but I do like the Gore/Obama ticket.

14. No. Obama is a DLC kiss-ass.

I remember during the Alito filibuster....

Before the rage and some politicians (MOST) who did NOT want to filibuster Alito (wrong fight, not the way to go about it, pure BULLSHIT)...

Obama was one of the ones who was NOT for it, and came out with outrageous statements in the mainstream media about the filibuster. I don't even know what he decided to do in the end. It does not matter.

I do not forget these things.

Neither should you....

Two words

SELL OUT

10. I too would like to see Gore run with Clark if he is to be the guy.
I'd prefer Clark at the top of the ticket but I would take him as VP to Gore.

Al Gore is all for his wife and children. He wouldn't be taking no skanky woman to Camp David glued to his hip.

16. How could anyone vote against that ticket?
It's going to take people of great stature to run against McCain. It really is. These two men have it. Although I wonder if Clark can't be president, if he wouldn't prefer State or Defense. He wouldn't be number two in either of those positions. He'd be the head of his department. All I know is, we need him in government if there's anything left to salvage by '08.

Even freepers might like this one! Ya think?

All kidding aside, I like Obama's maturity and sense of responsibility, and I like Gore's experience and intelligence. We need to grow up in this country and start electing sensible, capable leaders. We've gone the snake-oil salesman route long enough.

22. Yes, so Kerry won, too, in 2004! Where will John go? Yes,...
Al Gore for me for Pres...not Obama...he has been too DLC for me, also. But where do we place our man Kerry! Gore/Kerry will not work because Kerry will not accept second place, even though they both won the Presidency! So what do we do???? What is the second most powerful cabinet position? Secy of State, Dept. of Defense, where? I love Kerry, too. What to do, what to do? I want them both, as well as John Edwards, Wes Clark, Howard Dean, etc.!

23. I think there are several strong Democratic candidates that would
make good running mates with Gore. But, I don't think Obama is among them. He has been weak at times when we needed strong.
