Purely out of curiosity, what is it that you despise about her? Ringo

How can a mother allow this beast she's married to kill other people's children? What kind of a human being is she?

Terrorist? I think that's extreme.
I'm no supporter of Duh-bya. But comparisons of Bush to Hitler and terrorists is a pretty extreme position.
Sorry. I'm just stating my opinion. Ringo

is responsible for the deaths of more innocent people than all the other terrorists in the world combined.

Iraq WAS a poorly-planned and -justified war. Perhaps even illegal. But state terrorism? I don't know about that.
As for his involvement with more deaths worldwide than terrorists, I respectively submit that that's extreme hyperbole. Terrorists have killed thousands of people worldwide - some of them on video.
As bad a President as Duh-bya may be, I don't think that I can agree with the terrorist moniker. Ringo

15. Poorly justified war? |
|
Edited on Sun May-14-06 11:17 PM by Kerrytravelers
How was is at all justified, poorly or not. To even be "poorly" justified, that would give some credit to any of the "reasons" we have been given for the invasion. There is not one reason that one can point to and say "well, it may have been poorly justified, but there was still some truth in it... somewhere." Not one.
If there is, I invite you to share it with me right here, in the public forum.
P.S. I must also add... perhaps illegal? Invading Iraq, putting Americas in harms way and killing innocent people for nothing except oil profits, control of the Middle East and a selling point for your fundamental fruitcake base who want the rapture to arrive to save them from the gays, abortions and from paying taxes is absolutely illegal.

His "war" is TOTALLY UNJUSTIFIABLE!
In no way shape or form can it be considered anything close to "justified"!
That makes him equal to the biggest "terrorists" in the world.

No doubt about it - but considering they all had - what - two people? - compared to our tens of thousands of soldiers, their portion of the CRIMES has no comparison to ours.

14. I disagree. This man and his cabal is committing acts of terror against |
|
the Iraqi people. I hardly find my opinion extreme. I find the shrub and his puppet masters extreme in their zeal to claim power over everyone.
I don't see where I called him hitler anywhere. I called him a terrorist. I didn't say he was committing genocide. And I didn't compare *'s terrorism to behaviors of other terrorists. The actions of this government is different in there is still some democracy left in this country in so much as we are aware we're being wire-tapped and some of his minions are going to jail. But, nonetheless, innocent people are being killed as we pound our inflated chests.
Don't be sorry for stating your opinion. It is just that. Your opinion. However, my response is not an invitation to begin a long drawn out sub-thread where we argue the merits of calling * and the gang terrorists. My opinion is quite strong on the matter as well. And, for the record, I've seen quite a few opinions here you might consider 'extreme.' Many of my opinions would most likely be considered "extreme," but that is just how I respond to the fascism that is slowly taking a strangle hold over this country.

1). Laura Bush apologists ("She's really a nice person"...no she ISN'T. Look at the photos from Coretta Scott King's funeral.)
2). The "fair game-slash-off limits" crowd ("BUSH is fair game but Laura and the kids are OFF LIMITS")...first of all, they are all adults. No "kids" in the group. Second, they all campaigned for Bush, so they're all "fair game."
3). The State of Texas, for letting a woman guilty of vehicular manslaughter off the hook, scott free, without so much as a police report, because she was making the beast with two backs with the guy who would one day steal two presidential elections in a row.
I despise the three things listed above. There are probably more, but those are straight off the old brain pan.

Smarter than her husband, should know better, allows herself to be exploited every time he's in political trouble.
I've often thought if (total perverse gag-me nightmare) I ended up at the WH for dinner during his term, I'd end up discussing Jane Austen's novels with her.
Now I don't think I could eat anything without throwing up.

and when they all kick off, we may see one.
However, I doubt she's able to break ranks NOW. Consider that family, the number of journalists who were found "suicides" with multiple gunshots to the head, the curious passivity of journalists and Congressmen.
Besides, everybody trashes the First Lady, a woman who gets a tough job merely by being a male's appendage, who gets no pay for working damned hard. I don't have to like her. I'm just not joining the trashing club.
