SURVEYS I'D LIKE TO SEE...
Edited on Mon May-15-06 11:26 AM by Jeffersons Ghost
Surveys are a tricky form of propaganda and there are so many these days. I'll offer a few surveys that I feel might serve my political goals: but how creative are you? It can serve as not only entertaining but also educational, when you analyze the many forms propaganda can take.

For example:

say on a touchy subject, like Welfare.

Did Republican job-exporting and fuel prices increase or decrease the overall need for social services? On this issue any reasonable, honest person must vote the party caused an "increase" in both the overall need and number of filings for social services, as compared to the Clinton years. Just think of the mental impact on viewers, as CNN reports the statement over and over again.

The beauty of good propaganda lies not in the results of a survey question but in the question itself. As local primaries draw near consider the questions asked in surveys before you buy into ANY media results.

Here's another one I'd like to hear:

With nearly 2,500 deaths in Iraq, as the president proves to be a profiteering war criminal, should he face a firing squad or hanging as punishment after his conviction? I vote for "hanging" because firing squads have a certain military ring to them and we all know about a less than illustrious military service record of Bush.

Anyhow, just for fun; which survey question would you like to hear drilled into the America's shared consciousness?

5. here's a better one on the gay issue that REALLY might divide them
With so many states recently opting to recognize gay marriage, did Bush and his Republican Congress, increase or decrease gay marriage in America? That might change a few neocon minds if it was reported into the FOX-hole networks.

3. Do You Think
Americans should be denied the right to earn a living, simply because they no longer represent the gender of their birth?

Of course, they would never actually frame the question that way....

4. Or...How About This One???
With increased job outsouricing, less job security, and higher energy prices, with less benefits and with skyrocketing health-care costs, and ever-more uninsured Americans...are you, in economic terms, better off or worse off than you were prior to 2001?

6. Here's Another
With increased energy costs, increased outsouring and Wal-marting of jobs, with the stagnation of wages, and the ever-increasing cost of goods and services, with less benefits, skyrocketing health insurance costs, and ever-more uninsured Americans, with fewer good-paying jobs in the United States...do you think you are more likely, or less likely than your parents, to achieve the American Dream?

9. Your posts inspire! here's another approach
After eight years of complete Republican control, along with run-a-way inflation, lost Constitutional freedoms and a mind boggling national debt, do you feel more or less]/l] secure as the government finally talks about fencing our southern border?
