I remember there was all of this brouhaha a while back about a Fox show dramatizing the war on terror because they'd worked out a deal with the White House to get unprecedented access to real government facilities, in return for running the scripts pass Karl Rove for the White House's official stamp of approval. Isn't that 24?

12. I don't know anything about all of the Rove stuff. But, I did notice

that during the first year, 24 seemed to be favoring a right-wing agenda in some ways. However, the recent episodes have portrayed the President as a traitor. The good thing about this is that it may help average Americans conceptualize the possibility of the President being a traitor. In America, where for so long the President has been viewed as a "father figure", it has been very difficult to imagine him being an out and out criminal and traitor. The show still shows much too much about torture. I can't see why Rove would approve a script that depicts the President as exactly what Bush is.

Aside for these considerations, it's just interesting to watch Jack Bauer get into and out of all the outlandish situations.
