I swear that man can say anything .... he is without morals
or the slightest bit of feelings. Thank you.

2. I was looking for that one too
It was around the time that the investigation started (I think). Cheney denied knowing anything about Wilson, Plame or the trip. He said that he was never briefed on the trip and did not request Wilson to go to Niger.

3. Here, about 3/4 of the way down:
http://msnbc.msn.com/id/3080244/default.htm

MR. RUSSERT: Now, Ambassador Joe Wilson, a year before that, was sent over by the CIA because you raised the question about uranium from Africa. He says he came back from Niger and said that, in fact, he could not find any documentation that, in fact, Niger had sent uranium to Iraq or engaged in that activity and reported it back to the proper channels. Were you briefed on his findings in February, March of 2002?

VICE PRES. CHENEY: No. I don’t know Joe Wilson. I’ve never met Joe Wilson. A question had arisen. I’d heard a report that the Iraqis had been trying to acquire uranium in Africa, Niger in particular. I get a daily brief on my own each day before I meet with the president to go through the intel. And I ask lots of question. One of the questions I asked at that particular time about this, I said, “What do we know about this?” They take the question. He came back within a day or two and said, “This is all we know. There’s a lot we don’t know,” end of statement. And Joe Wilson—I don’t who sent Joe Wilson. He never submitted a report that I ever saw when he came back.

I guess the intriguing thing, Tim, on the whole thing, this question of whether or not the Iraqis were trying to acquire uranium in Africa. In the British report, this week, the Committee of the British Parliament, which just spent 90 days investigating all of this, revalidated their British claim that Saddam was, in fact, trying to acquire uranium in Africa. What was in the State of the Union speech and what was in the original British White papers. So there may be difference of opinion there. I don’t know what the truth is on the ground with respect to that, but I guess—like I say, I don’t know Mr. Wilson. I probably shouldn’t judge him. I have no idea who hired him and it never came...

4. "I don’t know Mr. Wilson. I probably shouldn’t judge him.
I have no idea who hired him."

This interview took place on September 14, 2003.

But now we have proof positive that Cheney is lying.

Because on July 6, 2003 Cheney knew all about Wilson's trip and his wife and he had known it for months.

Thank you for finding this little gem.

5. Tweety shows the actual clip on his show tonight, comparing
your exhibit to what he actually said. Tweety CAN be good for something!

8. He's switched his guests for his second show, probably
because of the immigration b.s. tonight. Sorry.

7. Cheney's questions scribbled here are completely rhetorical.
They aren't annotations or questions he is asking himself; they're questions he wants to pose to the CIA or some other entity or person.

He may not have known Wilson personally, but he was certainly aware of who Wilson was--and who his wife was.

10. Not only that, but...
Joe Wilson was Ambassador to Iraq, during the 1991 Gulf war, when Cheney was Secretary of defense. What are the chances that the Secretary of Defense at that time would not know the Ambassador to Iraq?

11. In addition, Wilson was the last person to try to negotiate with Hussein.
Edited on Mon May-15-06 06:42 PM by higher class
He was the middle man between Bush, Sr. and his cabinet and Hussein and was the number one person to try explain to Hussein what would happen. He was sitting in Iraq trying to talk to Hussein.

How bizarre that the Secretary of Defense would not know the name of the Ambassador whose words and messages were flying back and forth between Baghdad and Washington.

Cheney may have slept through the Cabinet and war meetings.

He ia a pathetic creature (no species name deserves to be used in trying to describe this man.) Little lies. Big lies. Killing lies. Thieving lies.
