Empty suit, empty speech
Edited on Mon May-15-06 07:42 PM by BobcatJH
1. As someone here said so well, "When our border patrol stands up, we will stand down." Do they even change the old Iraq speeches these days?

2. How long after the Mexican "Mission Accomplished" will our Guard still be on the border? This president, you'll remember, isn't the best goal setter ... or achiever. If that ends up being the case, we may not have an exit strategy from our own country.

3. We're using our troops, just home from Iraq, to fight an emergency. That emergency? Low polling numbers.

4. Identification. Raise your hand if you think this, over time, will only be for guest workers? No hands? Thought so.

5. The president hates catch-and-release, unless he's talking about his proudest moment in office.

6. Perhaps the beefed up presence at the southern border will keep a hurricane from coming across.

Remember what it was like when this country had a president? And capable leadership from the party in power? I do, too, though the Clinton administration seems so long ago.
