Next time a Repuke/Freepturd/Dittododo does the "National Anthem |
|
MUST be sung in ENGLISH!" bit . . .
ask him/her . . .
"When's the last time you were at an event and the National Anthem was sung in anything BUT English?"
non-issue, non-issue, non-issue, non-issue, non-issue, non-issue, non-issue, non-issue, non-issue
Feel-good, do nothing legislation . . . a mainstay of a die-hard Repuke . . .

one they probably can't define. Then tell them to learn their own language before telling others to do the same.

I had our Rotary Club sing the Nat. Anthem last week. I pitched it low enough that they didn't squeek on the high notes. They actually remembered all the words.
I may print out the original words for them as a July 4th present.
(Damn, why did they have to pick a tune with an octave and a fifth range...almost impossible for non-trained singers to sing.)
