Helen Thomas shows 'em who's boss and WHY! A blatant push
Edited on Tue May-16-06 05:46 PM by blondeatlast
for her new book...

Already getting some serious pre-pub orders (I'm in the book-buying biz). This is a good one to kick the RW propaganda books (including Anne Coulter's new diatribe that is supposedly so "controversial" that the pub won't release the title yet) off the bestseller charts.

Get the word out and let's make this Number 1 on the NYT list its laydown week; June 20 is the publication date.

I can hardly wait--I've got a copy reserved at my library already!

Buy it blue from Barnes and Noble:

http://search.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbninquiry.asp?ISBN=0743267818&pdf=y

Edit: My bad--The title of AC's book has been made public and it's really HOT: Godless: the Church of Liberalism.

WOW! Is that NASTY! :sarcasm:

2. What a SPLENDID COVER!!!!!
It captures the grubby nature of the press room, with those Nixon-era blue and white chairs...

I'm sure the material contained within the tome is even more splendid!!!!!

7. Nothing showing in the db yet, but I'll try to watch for it.
It's up to the publisher to give that info to the distributors.

I'll try to remember to check for it.

(fingers crossed)

16. I got a signed copy of...
...Thank You, Mr. President from a store that hosted an event for her last time around, but I wasn't able to attend. One way or another, if she tours for this one, I'll be there! Hell, if nothing else, I prefer to meet women for whom I buy roses!

to Phoenix is slim to none, but I still have the fingers crossed!

6. Ann Coulter has a book coming out? I can't wait!
thanks for the heads up

1 bottle of slow dry ink - check
1 syring - check

You have no idea how easy it is. Just stick the syring inbetween the pages, 1/4 plunge, and the book is unreadable after it bleeds for about 5 minutes.

10. I buy books for a library and I consider vandalizing them
a mere step above censorship.

Please don't do this--and remember that AC's books, along with most RW propagandists, get their books boosted by bulk sales.

You damage my library's copy, we have to get a new one, and we almost never buy a single copy of a well-known author as it costs us less to buy more.

Very bad idea; I hope that you're kidding, but I can't find any humor since it's my livelihood.

I'm exclusively Walmart.

And if you censor blatant lies and the spreading of hate then what are you really sensoring?

How about this...screw Walmart and screw Ann Coulter, I say plunge her under water for five minutes, if she lives it proves she's a witch.

12. And so it's okay by you if the Young Republicans take on
Greg Palast and George Lakoff at Barnes and Noble (which, as a former B&N employee, I can tell you that they occasionally do)?

If you are, we will have to agree to disagree.

I still call it suppression of the free exchange of ideas--and the YR's think Palast is lying, too, yanno.

13. You'd probably get more bang for the buck if you just stuck a nicely
written note in the book, explaining what the author really stands for, then ask the reader to please not support hatred, discrimination, and condemnation, because they are not Christian values.

I can hardly wait for Helen's book - it will be a must-have!

to open one's mind.

Thanks!

Look who's talking! What kind of God do Ann Coulter and her fans believe in? Not the God who said, "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor."

talk show appearances as well, though those tend to happen the week the book is released.
