"A ten foot fence just means an eleven foot ladder"
Ron Reagan, engaging in what appeared to be debate on the Hairballs All Stars, with His Moderatorness Tweety, Nasal Laugh Nora and Tucker Sans Bowtie, May 17, 2006.

1. I can't help but wonder how
Ron Reagan turned out to be o.k. He must be very resilient given the home he grew up in.

2. Did Il Dunce mention a fence once in his immigration speech?
Where did that come from, the conservatives in Congress? I'm outraged once again. When has a fence ever helped, and how many people will be dying at that fence a la East Germany?

6. The fence in East Germany was meant to keep people in
The fence on the border is to keep people out just like your backyard fence keeps your neighbors dog out.

Il Dunce did mention a fence in his speech and barriers.

BTw, we already have a fence up in San Diego that works quite well.

7. Does it now. Well I'm glad those 'illegals' aren't sneaking in from
Tiajuana, but please explain this sign, which I saw at the SD border:

8. If I'm not mistaken, there are
exatly four of those signs in the whole world. One each in the north and southbound sides of the I-5. One pair right near the border and one pair ion the wilds of Camp Pendelton, just south of the checkpoint there.

I used to think they were mildly humorous, just for their graphics.

I am a clown with a much depleted store of humor these days.

10. I didn't know that, but am not surprised. I've lived in TX for a long
time and don't recall seeing them, but do recall seeing the one in San Diego. My humor is also deserting me. :(

13. The sign warns drivers that there may be...
immigrants crossing the highway. What's wrong with that?

14. Well, that is the difference isn't it now.
We will get arrest them , feed them, give them medical attention, as the East German police would shoot to kill them

Let's import the Great Wall of China! I mean it's long enough. All you would have to do is code each block. It's got guard towers and everything. Well, except the electrified barbed wire and surveillance cameras. But we could add those!

I mean if William Randolph Hearst could reassemble rooms within a castle in California....

16. "The Great Wall of Chimichanga"...
according to Jimmy Kimmel last night. (Or at least that's what I think he said - I was half-asleep.) Really captures the absurdity of it all. Think it was TDS (or maybe Colbert?) that featured a segment last night with one of the muckety-muck Minutemen. Evidently, he and his angry band of "patriots" built a 200' fence and actually considered hiring "illegals" to provide the labor...

5. I LOVE Ron's phrase. He's been using it that last couple of weeks.
Noran...er, Norah, got a big laugh out on it...then Tweets stepped all over the line with a comment about
"why don't they just dig under the fence?" Totally missed the brilliance of the statement.
