Do we treat Team Bush better than Bill Clinton
Edited on Sat May-20-06 11:28 AM by MissWaverly
Does Team Bush get more consideration from the Justice Department and the
Judiciary than Bill Clinton, who only sought to delay the civil case of Paula Jones, a misdemeanor on the grounds that:

"petitioner claims that he occupies a unique office with powers and responsibilities so vast and important that the public interest demands that he devote his
undivided time and attention to his public duties..."

What was the Supremes response: "It was an abuse of discretion," the Court went on to say,
"for the District Court to defer the trial until after the President leaves office." pages 38, 44 No Island of Sanity Paula Jones v Bill Clinton by Vincent Bugliosi

Now we have Scooter Libby's trial delayed to accommodate his lawyer's busy schedule
U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton wanted Libby's trial to begin in September 2006, which would have been a nice reminder to American citizens of the abuses of power that have occurred in the lead up to and prosecution of the war against Iraq.

However, Libby's lead lawyer is "busy" in September, and so the trial has been set (conveniently for the White House) for January 2007.

Let me add that we still have heard nothing about Karl Rove and it is 3 years since Plame
was outed by a WH source to Novak. Justice Delayed is Justice Denied.

1. It's so insulting they even dare to ask such a horrific question.
Edited on Sat May-20-06 11:38 AM by shance
after thousands have died to make these individuals in the White House richer and their friends and these people in the media richer as well who ask such consciousless questions.

These same people are parasitically sucking money and blood off of the innocent youth, the innocent citizens of Iraq, and all other individuals and innocent animals who are dying in a manufactured war.

These people that have created this bombing death celebration in Afghanistan and Iraq have never seen a day of war in their lives. Certainly active combat or they wouldn't have taken us near such a cliff. No, they are professional pain avoiders. They make others feel pain as they watch curiously and laugh. They live vicariously through other peoples suffering. How moving none of these pain avoiders have dared to grace the presence of one funeral of the troops who have been murdered by our own weapons over there.

These people that write articles like this and ask such questions are sociopaths and have no conscience. If they were normal and healthy, they would see the truth, but they refuse to because they are cowards as well.

2. Hey, I think justice should be impartial
and I believe that those involved in the current law breaking should be held accountable

3. I agree Ms. Waverly.
I wasn't directing my post at you but at those who are denying what is being done in America's name.

4. What we have is choice
We either have a rogue nation or a nation of laws, I understood your post, you are angry that
we have gone so wrong, torture, rendition, secret prisons, war in Iraq, illegal wiretapping,
etc. We are constantly abused for criticizing this behavior but it is wrong. We had no
business going into Iraq. I too long for justice and the rule of law to once again resume
it's role in the framework of running this country.
