Sigh. Rule #1, Mr Lieberman, is don't accuse opponents of buying votes...
...when you just outspent them three-to-one.

Nice spin, Smitty. Now try another one.

Sean Smith, Mr. Lieberman's campaign manager, waved off suggestions that Mr. Lamont's showing was surprising. He said the senator's campaign had expected as many as 40 percent of the delegates to vote for Mr. Lamont, who had spent about $500,000 of his own money on the race through mid-May. "He pumped half a million of his own money to try to buy this convention," Mr. Smith said.

Mr. Lamont dismissed that characterization. "Look, he outspent us three to one," he said of Senator Lieberman. "We went door to door, it was an old-fashioned Democratic effort."

1. That's not just desperate spin, it's absolutely shameless
It's open, bald faced lying, actually. They sure weren't telling anyone they expected as many of 40% before Lamont hit 33%

3. You're right....
...open, bald faced lying. Just like the GOP does.

Liberman has learned from his kissing cousins in the GOP.....where he should go.

4. It fits
Lamont wants to defeat Lieberman, so he's spending money. He needs to be called on his methods.

5. Just like the GOP, rewriting history. They said they expected 30%
and now they are saying they expected 40%. They first said 30% believing Lamont would never reach it and then be able to say Lamont is a loser. Now that Lamont has exceeded 30%, Joementum has upped his stated expectation to 40%.

Just like the GOP wannabe he is, he is rewriting history.
