Cheney stumps in California for embattled House candidates
Cheney will speak at a luncheon Monday for Representative John Doolittle of Rocklin, who is in trouble because of his ties to disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

Later that day, Cheney appears at an evening reception in Stockton for Representative Richard Pombo of Tracy, who is being challenged by former congressman Pete McCloskey. Pombo also in trouble for conflicts of interests ties to Abramoff

On Tuesday, Cheney travels to San Diego to headline a fundraiser for Brian Bilbray, who is running in a special election runoff against Democrat Francine Busby.

14. 18% I last heard
I guess the Halliburton contracts are the reason for that. Also shooting somebody, accident or no accident does not help.

5. Abramoff
Why doesn't Cheney just get Abramoff himself to go stump for these candidates? Same effect.

7. Good.
What mensa Candidate decided this was a good idea - the VP with an approval rating barely above that of head lice is going to campaign for GOP candidates?

8. Cheney does get the elite to cough up the dough on these trips
but the negative effect his visit will have on the voters will probably wipe out any good the extra money can do.

15. She is such an tool. Doolittle a right wing fundamentalist
who's fuckin hates gays. (I live in his "red" district)

And Pombo is another piece of shit who would love to see gay people sent to the gas chambers.

Yet this dumb lesbian bitch is campaigning for them. :puke:

16. Cheney stumping
should be good for Dems. Guilt by association works well for us on this one. So Cheney motivates the bottom 10% of the bottom feeders to vote for Pombo or Doolittle. Big Wow.

His doing so motivates the other 90% to vote for the opponent.

18. Ah, but will they be there?
That is the question of the day.

**Just yesterday, Bush went to a certain state to attend a Repub fundraiser for _________ who decided not to show up!

Now, the first few times, it will probably go unnoticed. But try around July or August, when Bush & Cheney go trolling for the dough, and their candidates disappear!!!
