Drudge has a report about a Dean controversy at DNC - anyone familiar? |
|
Edited on Sun May-21-06 05:56 PM by jackbourassa
It's in the top left hand corner. Something to the effect of "Fresh controversy for Dean at DNC." There's no link.
www.drudgereport.com
Why do I have this feeling in my gut that Rahm Emmanuel and Chuck Shumer are behind this? Why don't those two fucks just give it up and WIN THE ELECTION!!!! With those two in charge, I have a bad feeling that we will miss this once-in-a-generation opportunity - because they are too busy with their obsession with Howard Dean and his 50 State Strategy (Which I strongly support). With the Republican Party self-destructing, and with more and more seats becoming competitive, we need a 50-state strategy more than ever. Because we need to begin building the infrastructure that will help us win these seats. Why are Emmanuel and Shumer so fucking stupid on this point? So stupid in fact, that they are willing to take never ending shots at the fucking DNC CHAIRMAN - and constantly airing our dirty laundry in the press - to get their way...WHICH IS THE WRONG WAY!!!!
Can anyone offer any insight into this alleged "controversy?"

The best thing concerned is for you Hillary/DLC lovers to actually stop this attack on anyone within the party which doesn't agree with you...
YOU PEOPLE ARE THE REASON WE LOSE. YOU PEOPLE NEED TO GO.

7. If that isn't the pot calling the kettle black! |
|
You Deaniac radical "netroots" are the reason we keep losing. And it is you and your ilk who want to purge so-called "Repub-lite", "DINO", "DLC-ers" from the party the second they disagree with you!
It was a DLC Democrat who was last elected to the White House. Deal with it.

19. And that strategy's been working so well for the past 6 years... |
|
The DLC Dem last elected to the White House was a master politician. Clinton's success was no more due to the prevailing DLC 'election strategery manual' than Reagan was responsible for the fall of Communism.

13. I like both Hillary and Dean |
|
I'm fine with Feingold AND with more moderate candidates like Warner.
I don't consider myself aligned with either the far left or with the DLC.
But, I do want someone with personality and guts to lead us in '08.
As for the two crowds at DU, the anti-DLC anti-"DINO" crowd is rude, childish, insulting and perpetually angry. The DLC leaning crowd can be a bit haughty and arrogant, but they are not bomb throwers, generally speaking.
Just over generalized obversations which I'm sure will offend everyone. :)

Now there an Idea! Or is that only if it's just because it's someone you like?
ON EDIT: Just in case you don't understand what I mean, where is Hillary mentioned except by you. Yes stop the attacks.

5. The same could be said for Emmanuel and Shumer, they are |
|
destroying the party with all their negativity. If you want bad press for the Democrats then you can depend on Emmanuel and Shumer to supply it with their public attempts at power grabs.

11. He has apologized for the mistake....he thought Kerry's stance WAS policy. |
|
Edited on Sun May-21-06 06:09 PM by madfloridian
His Advocate interview made it clear that he has a job to do that includes EVERYONE, not just the gay community.
You can only attack the party leader just so long and in just so many ways, until one of the staunchest allies realizes he can't win for losing.
You do this here every time his name is mentioned. It is getting very obvious.
He is going to go back on the CBN network because he says that is part of his job. Read his intervew with the Advocate...looks like he might as well give up as no forgiveness is forthcoming.
Clinton damned Dean for the civil unions...think Hillary will stand with you? Dean stated Kerry's stance as policy, because the candidates DOES set policy.

His apology to me was very hollow. Like I( said before I was pleased when he was put in this position, but now I am not. I will use every breath I have to see him ousted. After all thats what politics is all about (helping the one's you want, getting rid of the one's you don't.)

36. No, the Advocate interview should have opened some eyes. |
|
He made it clear he speaks for the party, not just for one part of it. The interviewer was almost rude, but Dean continued to be fair and clear.
He has gone out of his way to work with that community, and fresh attacks are starting today.

you managed to generate all that in response to "Fresh controversy for Dean at DNC"?
Perhaps we should wait for a detail or two before calling the firing squad. Dean is generally capable of generating a little controversy all by himself.

16. Well, people here love his stuff he puts out. |
|
Let's see....could it be because Dean went on the 700 club and will never be forgiven?
Or could it be that they don't know to talk to the Finance and Oversight committee at the DNC or search FEC records?
Or could it be they want him to concentrate on just a few states.

Me...I am pretty much in the middle, but I back Dean's plan for the party 100%..and people take potshots about it to me. and I am used to it so it rolls off my back.

I'm at the point where any distraction from the Leopold story is welcome. I'd sooner see threads on Senator Clinton's turquoise pantsuits than anything further about Leopold.
In all seriousness, I think this Drudge dredge is another indication that the Doctor is very much on the right track, and the reich-wing is starting to panic about November. That may be wishful thinking, but wishful thinking is what I've grown accustomed to during the last 6 years of DLC pratfalling.

And here at DU we help them out by our partisan attacks on each other.

I can link to the Washington Times, owned by Rev. Moon, fresh today. I can link to many blogs of the gay community who are launching fresh attacks.
I can link to Begala's so-called apology at Huff post where he actually has the nerve to imply there is money missing at the DNC.
Which ones do you want?
