Raising the Barr for Congress |
|
1000 Democratic write in votes? preposterous!!!
The PA-09th, GOP Strong hold, right? The Shusters have owned it since the early 70's right?, no Democrat could scratch out even a good fight in the PA-09 right?...not so fast!!!! Special Education Teacher from Claysburg, PA, Tony Barr has managed to get the necessary number of write in votes to make a fight of it in the PA-09th. Isn’t it appropriate that the number of write in votes is now at 1776. With the official announcement of his write-in candidacy less than 3 weeks before the primary election, the fact that Tony Barr has received enough confirmed write in votes to be on the ballot in November is nothing short of a phenomenon.
Those Democrats who were waiting for a sign from above to get into action now have no reason to delay another nano-second. The hard work of the Barr campaign is just beginning. This small determined band of Democrats have made a miracle and it is up to the rest of us to follow through.
This part of Pennsylvania has not seen a non-GOP congressman since the time of Andrew Johnson and it is time that we come together and make a change.
Since 1973, the Shusters (Bud from 1973 to 2001 and Bill from 2001 to present) have held the PA-9th and it’s time for us to come together and make a change.
Bill Shuster may be the guy you call to get a building named or if you need the use of the capitol grounds but three terms plus, he hasn’t done a thing for his district. The PA-9th has serious problems and we need a Congressman who will actually do something. If we want it we can make it happen it happen but we have to come together and make a change.
We need to do something to help Tony Barr overcome long odds and short money. Talk to your neighbors, talk to your friends and help the PA-9th get the kind of Congressman it’s never had.
Tony Barr advocates a sensible National energy policy
Tony Barr will fight for Healthcare policies that will cover average Americans
Tony Barr will see to it that Government is responsible to the people.
Democrats from all over the 9th district are lining up to support Tony Barr, there is even serious talk of a Republicans for Barr committee.
