Ned looks energized, Joe looks tired
Just saw both of Ned Lamont's TV commercials and I realized what a difference Ned Lamont offers. He is upbeat and fresh and he is saying something important about business as usual in Washington. Joe, in his most recent brief TV interview here locally, looked and sounded tired and whiny. He was going on about how much money Ned Lamont has personally, as if that is a crime in and of itself. Uh, got issues Joe? Any new ideas Senator?

Don't get me wrong: glitz is not what I am talking about. It's vitality, integrity and just not the same old, same old that people are tired of. I am fully aware that Ned has an uphill battle ahead of him, but that is the nature of challenging the powerful. That is why I believe this is a good fight to be in and I am proud to be a Lamont volunteer (I did the signature thing in my neighborhood).

7. How about Joe supports the largest failure in US foreign policy since
Vietnam? This is NOT a small issue. Most Dems who voted for it now wish they hadn't, but not Holy Joe. Holy Joe has taken it one step further to say that any criticism of Bush's foreign policy hurts us overseas. Such rhetoric hurts our party's ability to formulate a coherent message on Iraq.

Because this is really for Lieberman folk here on DU. It must be awfully demoralizing to see your guy in action. He's getting pathetic, killerbush, just pathetic. We need fresh thoughts and somebody who hasn't been in the D.C. grinder for too long like Joe has. His time has come...and has gone. Sorry.

11. Lieberman's also flip-flopping
In his book, he said this:

"Opposition research {on candidate's personal lives} does nothing but demean our politics and defame the people who are its targets. There is nothing wrong with going after your opponent's voting record or any other evidence of negligence in his public life, but digging into his bank account, his phone records, his sexual life, and literally his garbage when these things have nothing to do with the performance of his public duties-past, present, or future-is wrong."

Today, however, he sings a decidedly different tune: Lamont's trying to buy a Senate seat! Lieberman's not only digging into Lamont's bank account, something he used to regard as "wrong," but Lieberman's absolutely silent on the issues if this is all he has to complain about.

And why won't Lieberman pledge to support the Democratic candidate in the general election? Is Lieberman's only loyalty to Lieberman?

13. Poor Holy Joe.
As if he doesn't have enough to worry about. It seems his Darlings in Washington have led him astray.

He leaned his lader against the wrong building.

I think when November comes around, Joe-Momentum will be writing memoirs.

17. Dump Jane Harman too! Vote for Marcy Winograd on June 6
in California's 36th district. Harman is a war pig who's actually said she's "the best Republican the Democrats have" (I kid you not, she actually said that!)
