Memo to the folks behind Tom DeLay's legal defense fund: Stephen Colbert is a comedian. And when he sits down with Robert Greenwald, the producer of "The Big Buy: Tom DeLay's Stolen Congress," and asks things like, "Who hates America more, you or Michael Moore?" -- well, that's what we call "satire," and it probably isn't the best fodder for the fundraising e-mail you just sent to a bunch of your supporters.

3. You know, it's entirely possible....

...that these guys know exactly who Colbert is and where he stands but they are counting on their donors not knowing. They just want the money and the e-mail is sure to be received by quite a few bozos who aren't familiar with Colbert's work. Kinda like spamming. Just send out a ton of the crap and you're sure to get a few bites.
