C-Span Washington Journal
On the AM call in show they were talking about likely 2008 candidates/nominee

The think OBAMA has the best chance of getting the nomination and winning (ruling out Hilary for all the reasons we have discussed). They said he is all over the country and is very much liked. I think he is too inexperience BUT what the hell, he is a genus in comparison to *. What do you think ? Would you support him. How does OBAMA race play a part in the purple states?

1. if anyone thinks
any of the idiots who think all muslims are terrorists and have confederate flags on their trucks would vote for a black man (no matter how white)they are misguided.

2. That's why I said purple states
I agree that the south is a lost cause. Taking Clinton's '92 win, could OBAMA win in those states?

4. The south
is not lost and with the right policy's could be turned dem. in a hurry. They are good people down there despite the radical rebels who will never come around. Believe I know from experience, the goofy ones are in the minority.

3. no way, not me
He doesn't have near the experience needed. Granted he's better than the Chimp, but anyone would be.

Maybe he'll get his shot in 10-20 years.

5. agree
Being a popular Senator doesn't automatically translate into winning the presidency. Maybe vice president, though. But ten years, quite possibly. Many of today's contenders will be out of the picture by then, and it will be time for a new generation.

6. He has shown me nothing as a Senator.
I'm sorry but I have not been overly impressed with Obama as a politician, or perhaps that is the problem, I have been too impressed, he is all politician. He specifically requested Liebermann as a mentor? Have you observed his voting pattern, especially when it counted, the key votes?

People are really taken by him, he is super charismatic, smart as a whip, gotta real nice smile & the DLC is going to run with him after HRC for sure. The polls will tell them he is the next big thing (TNBT) and so...

7. I thought that whole roundtable of reporters
were full of crap. They sat around bliovating like their opinions were the most valued of them all. I think they want to be "Stars". One of them was talking about meeting someone in Ohio who voted Republican, but added that she really liked Kucinich. Then they all started laughing like what a bunch of dummies the voters are. P.U. on them! I don't care what they said.

8. We Can't Even Elect
a white woman president, jewish or a white Catholic President (without killing him/her) and you expect this country to elect a black man? Sorry but that dog won't hunt. We have more racism today than in 1970.

10. So Long As He Is Pro War-He loses Just Like Hillary
Right Now, it's a toss up between Russ Feingold and General Wes Clark for the prez job. I will NOT vote for anyone who supports this war and/or Bush's policies!!!
