I wrote it in a moment of frustration at what I saw as damaging to progressives chances of beating pro-Iraq Democrats. I apologise to all who responded and ask that it be locked.

2. For God's sake, man, Gore has just come out with the work |
|
of his lifetime!
And no politician would announce any candidacy this early, regardless. November is very important.
This ultimately is not about personalities. Let's take things as they come, yes?

3. Gore has been against the Iraq war since before the war.... |
|
Just saying...and perhaps it makes more sense to keep the Mighty Russ in the senate. Think about it.

5. Seems to me that you forget a few candidates to the left of Clinton |
|
Edited on Mon May-29-06 05:56 PM by Mass
as well:
Kerry, Edwards. They are very likely candidates, at least as certain as the two you quote.
For the rest, it is too early to know whether Gore will run or not, but if he does, he has earned this right.

10. May be you dont, but what you want is irrelevant. He will run. |

A Kerry run is more probable at this point than a Feingold run, which does not mean that Feingold will not run.
I REALLY dont want Edwards to run, but I know he will run and it would be stupid for me to ignore it.

Its about coming togther on the right principals on this 2006 election year.
You're too far ahead of yourself and it serves not the democratic party or the good people of this planet to do anything but win in November. If the dems can't convert this opportunity in the congress, what prayer do you think we'll have to convert in 2008.
When you're on the 1 yardline, you score first before you worry about the onside kick.
