The hilarious thing about the Freepers dinging Google over Memorial Day...
In case anyone has missed it, here are the basic facts. (1) Google frequently jazzes up its logo on its home page for various holidays. (2) So far, it has never done this for Memorial Day. (3) This year, this has sent the Freepers into a tizzy:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1413340/posts?

Here is the funny thing. Scan that thread, and read how often Google is labelled communist, or something similar. That's right, in the Freeper mindset, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, two high-tech entrepeneurs who founded one of the most successful internet companies to date, making them both billionaires, are communist. Just like George Soros, the successful capitalist who as a teen fled the USSR after he fled the Nazis, and who poured millions of his own money into supporting the struggle to free East Europe from the USSR, is a communist.

All this time, I was hoping to become a half-way successful capitalist. I've been following the wrong path. I should aspire to be a communist like Page, Brin, and Soros.

:hippie:

2. The ones they left behind to
post this weekend must be the real wingnut dullards. They have apparently had some of the most idiotic postings these past few days--but then, maybe that really is the norm for them.

5. They are nuts!
Check out this screenshot from an idiot urging people to boycott Johnson & Johnson because it <gasp> put an ad in a gay magazine.

They would crack me up if they were not so pathetic and those that engender hatred and fear of those different.

8. Re:
What kind of LOSERS rant and whine about this nothing issue? Do they not have enough liberal-bashing, Bible-beating and butler firing to do?

9. The same ones who pulled the "War on Christmas" out of their asses
This has nothing to do with free speech, this is about a bunch of silly people who expect not only to express their beliefs, but are offended if anyone fails to anticipate what they expect in advance.

The war on christmas bullshit is a good example. Chances are, the cards I send are going to say "Happy Holidays" or "Season's Greetings". I do this because I give them to people who are not necessarily celebrating christmas. If a christian I know gets a card from me that says "Happy Holidays" that does not mean I am deliberately snubbing his holiday, it just means I'm not rich enough to buy five different boxes of cards with five different sayings in order to placate in advance the possibility that one person might think I'm snubbing his personal Jesus.

This is where the sane on the right are separated from the religious loons.
