Warning - Logic alert (freepers need not read) - flaw in the arguments for
the "Dem" plan on immigration.

1. Freeptards/Dittoheads/Repukes tend to frame the "illegal immigrant" debate with the idea that Dems want the illegal immigrants to come into the country and vote for Dems

2. F/D/Rs have denounced the "Dem version" of the illegal immigration legislation as being too tough (to prosecute) - because it makes the illegal immigrants "felons" . . . a felony level crime

3. Convicted felons cannot vote (well, unless you're a Republican, then you get special dispensation) . . . Florida 2000 is a prime example of keeping felons (who have served their sentences and cleared up every other aspect of their lives)

4. Since the "felons" (illegal immigrants) can't vote, this blows point 1 out of the water

5. RHE - Republicans heads explode . . .

1. Not all 50 states have a felon no vote law. If I remember correctly its
only a few states that don't allow voting to felons. After all, under the Constitution after a person has served his time his rights as a citizen are fully restored.

4. But they're felons before they're citizens . . .
:silly: so how could their non-rights (as a non-citizen) be restored if they didn't have them prior to being caught being an illegal immigrant?

5. If you had bothered reading I was replying to this part

2. Two things wrong with your logical sequence: 1) It's way too complicated:
True-blue F/D/Rs will give up halfway through Step 3 and respond with a sullen "yo mama."

and 2) Ex-felons, while prohibited from voting in many states, CAN register following their sentences in (I think) about 30 states and Washington DC. That's a substantial number.

3. Well, If they were Rational...
they wouldn't be Republicans.

As for me, owing to the heaps of abuse, hatred and intolerance intentionally produced by Republicans, I've mostly lost even the humane compassion to care whether a Republican's head explodes. Egad, it must be working... I'm being assimilated... (into the uncaring hoardes) Their mind disease is deceptively insidious and highly contagious (though, fortunately, it tends to leave it's liberal victims with a loss of compassion towards the source of the infection).

6. I thought the plan to make them felons was the GOP plan not Democrats
Something is amiss.
