that's how I got a freeper relative to stop sending me that crap. She had sent me the "50 people Clinton had murdered" email and I replied all with the snopes link and about 5 other sources that claimed it was nothing more than urban legend.

She was pissed because all of her friends & coworkers got that email and said she'd just bcc everyone instead. I told her that her original email would be held hostage and that if I received any further email fallacies I'd still forward the response to everyone in the original emails.

I also have an idea for an activist activity. Gather groups of people together (like DUers :)) and write progressive emails. Pick topics and put together fact sheets and then email them to all the RWers on our friends' lists. And be sure to decorate the emails with teddy bears and flowers and flags like the RWers do. Come up with cute titles too.

I am presenting this idea to one of my political groups this week.

A friend of mine is convinced there is a group of RWers who sit in a dark room somewhere and write these emails. She thinks Karl Rove is funding the operation. LOL

I say we need to fight back. The thing that pisses me off about this misinformation campaign is that people who pay little or no attention to current events and politics read this crap and decide there are problems where none exist.

#8 You have to be a US citizen to live in HUD housing. Clinton tightened up the regs and it takes a good long time to be approved for HUD housing nowadays. So I very seriously doubt this is true. I know it isn't true in my community. A family I know was recently kicked out of a HUD complex because a relative from out of the country moved in with them.

#10 Do the math again. 5.1 + 3.9 = 9.0 What language do the other 1.2 million people speak?
