smirk's kool aide dispenser Amir Taheri, columnist, opened his mouth |
|
on Wash. Journal this morning and said:
"violence is in the political DNA of Iraqis"
what a shitty thing to say.
he also said Iraq is doing wonderful. the violence is being done by Iraqi criminals that Saddam let out of prison before the bushmilhousegang attacked and occupied Iraq.
he made a point of telling us that under Saddam farmers couldn't freely sell their wares. but now under the bushmilhousegang they can. however, he failed to tell us that the farmers must use american modified seeds as it is now against the law for Iraq farmers to use their own seeds. nor did he tell us that the american modified seeds were suicide seeds and will not reproduce so Iraq farmers must buy american seeds every year.
and finally he threw out this piece of trash: Iraqi people of begging smirk not to run away from Iraq but to stay and finish the job. what crap!
wonder how much the bushmilhousegang pays Amir the columnist?

2. I've seen this claim over and over, |
|
"the farmers must use american modified seeds as it is now against the law for Iraq farmers to use their own seeds," but every time somebody points me to the source law, I read it, and fail to find this requirement.
I find that they're prohibited from retaining GMO seeds without permission, but not that they're prohibited from using their own seeds. I guess the claim could be made that there'll be cross-fertilization, thus putting their seed under the restrictions governing patented genetic material, but I don't think I've ever seen that argument made.
It's beginning to sound rather like the claim that some NG unit had an incredible rate of DU-related cancer; I chased the claim back through a score of articles to an editorial. The writer asserted that a study made the claim (but didn't actually assert he had *seen* the study). The editorial didn't provide a title, author, institution, or even a quote, and so the assertion couldn't be verified.

I missed it.
I posted the article about the modified seeds some time ago. you might look that up and check the facts.
