Americans must reject this shuddery pack of maniacs
Fright mode struck this morning after months of graduated concern over the fiendish clique in the White House. I used to tell myself the Bush administration just COULDN`T ruin everything before Congress dredged up enough courage to fight them off. I imagined that some law someplace would bring their despicable activities to a halt. I even thought that at the eleventh hour the media might pull through and find a voice unaltered by corporate pressures. Wrong on all counts and that`s when this fright came in.

The America I`ve known for nearly sixty-one years is disintegrating before my very eyes. Have-Not Citizens were banished from New Orleans so The Haves could carry out their gentrification projects. Guess the excitement of new casinos overtakes noticing all the displaced wanderers. Just like the wanderers in Iraq, walking around stunned by the slaughter and mayhem, part of the Bush Freedom Project, bragged about by a man who said Africa is a country and who thinks global warming is a myth. It`s truly frightening.

They`re hiring engineers in India to take the place of our unemployed engineers at home. Another couple of years and the unions should be put in their place...out of business...making way for corporate heads to finalize their $35,000,000 per year "packages." What a plan, Stan. Right up there with mega-mergers binging on their trickle-down theories. Oh, so sad, that old guy in New Hampshire who lost his pension. Maybe he`ll "retrain" or drop dead and stop complaining to the pharmacist.

This just can`t be happening while cable gushes over American Idol and trips over itself for a photo of Tom Cruise`s baby. How did we get to this place? How does an American president get to treat our laws like they were a bag of M&Ms and he doesn`t like the green ones? How does Bush use signing statements like they were as routine as using an eraser on a pencil? And how did Science become a four letter word and diplomacy become just a tactic of the weak-kneed? How did we go from the cherished eloquence of Dr. King to the bullying ramblings of an AWOL frat boy? How did we toss out the Geneva Conventions yet craft a dicey partenrship between the NSA and our phone companies? Who ordered the phone jamming in New Hampshire and why can`t we verify our precious votes?

Rove can reach into his cesspool and drag up a brazillion consultants, but not one of them can convince me we`re not in serious, serious trouble here in the U.S.A. He can have an entire elementary school paint a patriotic banner to plant behind Mr. Mission Accomplished and I won`t get one goose bump. What I will get is a knot in my stomach at the thought of this craven "decider" in the White House ruining the country that has the Constitution he refuses to uphold.

1. We Never Accepted Them in the First Place. Not in 2000, 2002, or 2004
They are usurpers.

2. As usual the citizens will wake up, but it will be too late.
