Where is Mary Cheney?
I think we need to keep asking this, send it to newspapers, call into radio & TV outlets and just keep saying it.

Embarrass the hell out of that selfish hedonist (isn't that what they call them in the Republican Party?).

Her beloved Bush is set to announce tomorrow that he is throwing his political weight (all 6 ounces) behind the Federal Marriage Protection Act, barring any two people the rights to get married and making it any one man and any one woman, and stripping all marriages that have been registered by same-sex couples already. Bush is hoping he can coax a few more Republicans to join in on the election wedge issue they think they have, even though it will not pass.

I think she ought to chain herself to the White House fence and demand her Dad's boss stop attacking her personal rights as an American citizen.

Will Mary be allowed to marry? Will Dick Cheney just yank her chain by telling her "one day down the road things will change, let it go"? Will Republicans burn the Cheney's one day for allowing this hethen to hold the Holy Bible, of all things, during a grand ceremony? I think she needs to say, "If you find no fault in me, Mary Cheney, a partnered lesbian, holding the Christian bible at the inauguration, then there should be no question I can marry the person I love!". What day will she say this very harsh statement on Fox News? Today? Tomorrow?

Is she buying the chains as I type, to protest for the equality of gay/lesbian/bi/transgendered rights?

SO I BEG TO ASK - IN THE NAME OF GAY RIGHTS - WHERE IS MARY CHENEY?

5. She's been out and about stating her case
and bashing democrats like only a good Cheney could!

http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/articles/060515/15qa.htm?s_cid=rss:site1

<Like her father the vice president, Mary Cheney is usually a model of self-control. But one moment in the 2004 campaign made her blood boil. It was when Democrat John Edwards, during a vice presidential debate, referred to her sexual preference in what she considered a crass and condescending way. "John Edwards took sleazy politics to a whole new level," Mary Cheney writes in her new book, Now It's My Turn: A Daughter's Chronicle of Political Life. (Threshold Editions) "... As Edwards went on to congratulate my family on the way they 'embraced' me, I got angrier and angrier. What in the world gave John Edwards any right to comment on my family? What gave him the right to use my sexual orientation to try to score political points?" Ms. Cheney's reaction as she sat in the audience was to mouth a four-letter expletive>

10. don't you just love (I mean hate) her STUPIDITY?
"what gave him the right"...

um, Mary, your family was going around the country with you on stage with them talking about your sexuality, and this Edwards fella is running against your father in the election - that's what gives him the right to answer the question posed to him in the debate -

stupid bitch.

she'd rather have a president in Bush that talks like this unscripted ----

"my concernS about the senator IS that in the course of this campaign, I've been listening very carefully to what he says and he changes positions on the war in Iraq, 'dizzit' (unknown?), changes positions on something as fuh-fundamental as.... what you believe in your core, in your heart of hearts is right fuh, in Iraq. uh, you cannot lead --- if you send mexed missages, mixed messages"

Kerry's response should have been - "mexed missages George? America, that statement by my opponent clearly should tell you how confusing his leadership has been"

8. Mary Cheney has the economic luxury
Like other wealthy gay folks, Mary Cheney has the economic luxury to ignore the Repressive Right. She doesn't identify with those dreadful scruffy lesbians, because she identifies more closely with the "I Got Mine" wing of the Republican party. She knows that her money and family connections will suffice to insulate her from the more egregious assaults on people who share her sexual orientation.

She needn’t worry about such gaucheries as being discriminated against in housing or employment, and she is quite secure in her position. Because of her family name and connections, she will always pull a six- or seven-figure annual salary, and she will never be denied a hospital visit with her loved ones or have to deal face to face with the flushed, angry, spittle-flecked visage of discrimination. For people who have to worry about such mundane, day-to-day issues, she has only contempt.

30. Everything isn't about class.
Even Gandhi was treated like crap.

Rich lesbians don't currently have a right to marry either. I think she is for gay rights and just taking another route. I don't agree with that route because the Republican party just can't be worked with in my opinion. However, she thinks it can be. If people like her can soften them up, I'm for it.

She is a horrific combination of her mother and father.

As to where she is, she's collecting her paycheck from the RNC.

25. Her book appears to be a publishing dud -- here's the evidence
Its release date according to Amazon.com was May 9th. Yet I haven't seen the title appear yet on the NYT nonfiction extended list (available at NYT.com) or on the USA Today top 150. By now it should have appeared on one of those lists. It has had the privilege of the front-display table in Barnes and Noble (believe me, a title doesn't get on that front table without huge amounts of co-op money from the publisher) and from what I've seen, the copies aren't moving. No one seems to be buying.

If the publisher paid a hefty advance for this book, that company's going to lose money. Big time.

I mean, I'm SURE she's there, because she so strongly supports her Daddy's dirty little war. So I'm pretty sure she's there on the front lines, walking the point, going house to house looking for the insurgents.

Right?

28. Here she is.........
-- Mary Cheney also criticizes the amendment in a series of recent interviews. Here's what she said on "Fox News Sunday" on May 14th.

"It (the marriage amendment) is writing discrimination into the constitution and, as I say, it is fundamentally wrong. I would also hope that no one would think about trying to amend the constitution as a political strategy."
