Zarqawi's role was exaggerated to convince Americans of larger threat?
But, according to some internal military documents, it was a propaganda campaign to convince Americans that the same group we went to war with in Afghanistan was now playing a major role in the violence in Iraq. They meant to deceive. A Washington Post reporter is now reporting that "some military intelligence officials believe may have overstated his importance and helped the Bush administration tie the war to the organization responsible for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks."..Say what??!!
Is this reporter and these military officials saying that all along this Administration has been exaggerating the role of Zarqawi in order to try and validate the illegal invasion of Iraq?

1. On NPR yesterday
an Italian correspondent said that Al-Zarqawi wasn't even a MEMBER of Al-Queda at the time of Powell's speech to the UN claiming he was the link between Saddam and OBL. He then entered negotiations with OBL to become the head of Al-Queda in Iraq due to the great exposure WE gave him.

3. That occurred to me last night as I was skimmiming past Faux
News and heard someone mention that Z had claimed responsibility for 250 terror attacks.

250, in a country that is suffering 50 attacks every day. 5 days worth of attacks, over three and a half years.

Sounds like a real major figure to me.
