a TRUE statement from the white house at last!!

as appalled and sickened as most of us were by the "it's a number" comment from snowjob, I finally realized something.

That statement was absolutely TRUE, and probably the only true one ever to come from this maladministration. The people in charge don't actually give a DAMN about the soldiers, their families, the wounded and dying on either side, they don't actually give a DAMN about anybody but their "base", so, to them, the dead are "just a number" (remember babs and her "beautiful mind" comment?" all of a piece)

so, perhaps instead of nailing them for the callous indifference of this comment, we need to be nailing them for the TRUTH of it.

3. If they told the truth it was unintentional.

Snow gave an insight to their thinking without meaning to. He was trying to redirect the presses and the publics way of thinking to one more amenable to their cause. Reducing the troop deaths to a statistic certainly serves their purpose.

It worked with the hiding of the returned caskets, but this trial balloon will not fly for long.
