Lois Murphy as "Howard Dean Liberal" - This steams me....

Lois Murphy is running for Congress in the 6th District of PA, which is my sister's district. My sister really likes Lois...and, in fact, I was lucky enough to meet and talk to Lois' sister at the Eric Massa/Wes Clark fundraiser event this week.

Anyway, my sister sent me this link today...

"Howard Dean liberal"! Is that supposed to be some kind of a smear?! I hope it convinces more folks to vote for her....We'd do a lot better with a bunch of "Howard Dean liberals" in Congress than the corrupt bunch running the show now.

1. democrats have ALLOWED repubs to make liberal a dirty word by

running from the word and not defending it. Behavior continues until it is stopped by others or self interest.

the good news about your mailer/example is that it is most likely mailed only to people who are already true believers in the republican

2. MoveOn.org did NOT run ads saying Bush was Hitler!

That ad was merely one out of hundreds of ads created by individuals for a contest ran by MoveOn.org. All the ads were available to be watched on their website before the winners were chosen.

Besides which, the label "Howard Dean Liberal" applies to me and I'm damn proud of it.

Sorry but that is the lay of the land right now.

Our Democrats on the right wanted Iraq and wanted their corporate agenda so badly, they did it to him by sending out memos about how fringe he was.

The GOP picked up on it, they will do it to any of our Democrats.
