Clark Supporters this my 1000th POST!!!

Do not give up the fight. We are encamped after a hard fight in a young war. We entered into this war late and have only won the right to stick out the conflict and guide it to victory.

Our assets may be in short supply, but they're not as bad as others who plan to stick around a little longer.

On the eve of the battle for Tenn. and Virginia, I might remind all of you that 226 years ago another army was waiting out the winter before a series of conflicts that would re-shape history, had they not found it within themselves to pull out that last bit of energy and courage, non of us would be participating in this Free and Independent contest to choose those who we believe would best represent us in our Democracy.

We have one thing that several of the other candidates don't have, we have a grass-roots movement that is strong and well developed throughout this nation. We have to make good use of it. Pull up the boot-straps, get on the phone this weekend, make a contribution if you can afford it, and do what you can to pull us through the next battle.

And if you are feeling down and out then remember these words from our first General...

"Naked and starving as they are we cannot enough admire the incomparable patience and fidelity of the soldiery." -General George Washington at Valley Forge, February 16, 1778.

Please just don't give up, it's just not our nature as Patriots.

We may seem beat, but we have only jsut begun to fight. We would not be here if it were not for the courage of those who went before us. This moment in fact brings to mind another great struggle, though not an American one, it is equally inspiring of triumph in the face of long odds.

In Britain, people readied themselves for an invasion that was sure to come. The British people knew that there was no way they could stave off the sheer numbers of German troops and machines. For months they held out against the Blitz, the RAF fighting like men possessed against insurmountable odds, with their bases and factories being bombed every day and night, facing superior numbers of enemy aircraft, the British doggedly fought on and refused to give in. Thanks to their determination, America's entrance into the war was not in vain. In that great time of struggle and sacrifice, Winston Churchill said of the brave people of Britain, "If the British Empire is to last for a thousand years, men will still say this was their finest hour!"

We will hold, and we will triumph. Never doubt that for a moment.
