I hope no matter who wins nomination, all you passionate
people will stick with the course you have started as you supported your candidate choice. Whether Dean pulls a surpise turnaround, Kerry keeps momentum, Edwards builds a head of steam or whatever....my hope is that everyone here and across the country will work as one cohesive unit to rid ourselves of the Bush cancer.

Spirited debate is certainly necessary and our candidates need to withstand tough attacks from the evil GOP who will stoop to any low level, but I hope we keep the mutual respect. We all want to win the WH for Democratic party and for American values of free speech, help for the many not the few, and unity no matter the diversity of us all.

Keep the faith.

10. You don't know that's why 55% or so Americans don't vote?
They can't tell the difference. Guess some people don't have that information.

9. wow. I'm struly stunned, then.
You think Gore would turn this 9-11 thing into partisan hatchet job? You think GOre would unilaterally p!ss on the allies of this nation and get out of long standing treaties and attack a country that presented no credible danger to U.S. or its interests?

DO you believe GOre would rubber stamp the blind spending spree going on right now after draconian tax cuts?

I don't get your lack of clarity on differences between Dems and Repub.

8. Just remember the winner will appoint judges. There is no choice.
I like all our candidates anyway. I'd vote for a one celled plant at the bottom of the ocean before GWB. At least it would not damage the environment....and I've no doubt it is smarter.

12. Remember what we're trying to do
:kick:

And that's to get bush out of the White House.

I've heard supporters of several candidates state that if their man doesn't win the nomination, they won't vote.

Of course, you know that's self-defeating.

A vote not cast is a vote for Bush. And if he gets in again (note that I didn't say "win") you'll have only yourselves to blame.

13. guess what?
Some people think *B* is a safer story than John Kerry.

A LOT of folks might as well get used to that and stop trying to shame and scare people who have the ability to reason independently. Or are some folks just whistling in the dark as they pass the graveyard?

A PEP Rally is not going to fix what's wrong in this country. Sometimes you have to lance a big, fat, red, inflamed boil so it can drain all the icky, sticky, greenish-yellow poison before nature can take it's course and heal it from the inside.

18. Loyalty Oaths are a sign of fear.
Just hand out the clothespins, forget your conscience, do as you're told by the bosses. Or, the bogeyman will get you.

Same old song we hear every election year. A lot of "don't make waves" moderates around here lately.

19. I feel very controlled
here lately. Seems the BIG TENT has shrunk to the size of an ice cube. I don't expect I'll get to say what I think and get away with it . but here goes .. DU has become the Democratic wing of the thought police. Tom Ridge and John Ashcroft should come on over and take lessons!!! :hi:

20. If my preferred candidate drops out...
I will turn my energy to local races.

The republicans are a cancer on Ohio and we've got a great chance to unseat two horrible ones in my district. The Democratic challengers need grassroots support to do so.

I'll vote for and support the nominee, and continue to campaign against Bush, but I can't see myself making phone calls and writing letters on behalf of John Kerry. He just doesn't inspire me to sacrifice for him.

If he's the one the voters want, let them do the work for him. He should have an army of millions, if that's the case.
