Joe really, really needs a new adviser
"I find the behavior of a large segment of the Jewish community to be reprehensible and outrageous," said John Droney, a former chairman of the state party who is advising Lieberman to run as an independent. "When he's in trouble like this, they all ought to rally to him. It's too bad that you have to listen to an Irish-American to realize that you've got to support your own home cooking."

"Reprehensible and outrageous", says the aptly named Droney because Joe's lost some support among Jewish voters.

Same guy: "I think to be terrorized through the summer by an extremely small group of the Democratic Party, much less the voting population, is total insanity for a person who is a three-term senator...Every single weirdo in the left wing will be there."

2. What is with all the "terror" talk coming out of Joe's camp?
Doesn't he know that simply just does not work anymore. The American people, having been duped in the previous two elections, are wary of that now. Many are realizing their fear was unwarranted.

And, why do they insist on thinking that the left-leaning BASE of the Democratic Party is a "small group." Obviously, they don't attend any functions made up of real Democrats (as opposed to the elite cocktail parties) and they don't read Democratic blogs.

The left is NOT a "small group" in Democratic primaries. Not by a long shot.

3. Opposition from one's own party is the same as being terrorized?
Droney is out of his mind. It's completely democratic to oppose an incumbent and campaign for another candidate.

4. He's former "chairman of the state party"!?
Gives you an idea of the state of disrepair that state party has fallen into over the last few years. And we wonder why no elected DEM official would challenge Lieberman and every prominent state official has endorsed him.

If I were Lamont I'd hang the yammerings of this Archie Bunker around Lieberman's neck every chance I had.... along with the crazed ravings of other on-record Lieberman supporters like Coulter and Hannity.

Make L disavow them; or publicly *decline* to do so.
