Eternal Vigilance
...is the price of liberty. I think that is a quote by Thomas Jefferson, perhaps? But, has it ever been so true? Someone spoke earlier of the persistence and the stamina of George W Bush. Everyday is like a raindrop carving away the stone. We must be vigilant every minute of every day because we have no idea what this maniacal bunch might do? We cannot depend on the corporate media to guard our liberties, it is plain to see. It is up to us to stand guard. We must guard our liberties every second until this bunch of fascists are gone. It's a tough job but somebody has to do it.

1. Yes
And the first thing we need to do is get the control of our votes out of the hands of the private companies that are beholden to the republican party.

2004? It was stolen, right?

3. BeFree, I'm here...
What you say would be a good first step. We can never have a legitimate government until the people are assured that the elections are fair and honest. I do not know what extent the votes have been stolen. However, we know about the butterfly ballots and all the dirty tricks that happened in Florida. Also, in Ohio, it is now beocming obvious to many that there was voter suppression on a scale that was not thought about before. Even if we change the machines, we still have to correct these types of voter suppression.

4. Yes, thanks
I was beginning to feel as if I was on your ignore list. Good.

Now, where were we? Oh yes..... we are at a place where we can have little or no confidence that the elections are fair and honest. And no one has complete knowledge of just how many votes were stolen in 2004, but there are some very good estimates. Lawd knows the machines were quite capable of theft on a millions scale, and who would dare stand and say that the bushco would NOT take advantage of that?

So.... did bushco take advantage of those machines? The exit polls seem to say they did, the funny numbers from around the country say the machines did a dirty deed, and even more proof of the loose nature of the machines pops out nearly daily. Just look at the recent Pottawattamie county theft by machine.

Then see the OHIO scandal of stealing hundreds of thousands of votes from democratic voters. Couple that with the machine thefts alleged, and what do you know; Kerry won the election.

See, it's really not that hard to fathom, or to say, now is it?

2004 was stolen.
