Senator Reed just endorsed Lieberman on CNN. Biden said he'd wait and see. |
|

Biden dodged the question, "is Lieberman a loyal Democrat if he runs unaffiliated."
They both predicted that Lieberman would win the primary.

1. Endorsed him in the primary? |
|
Because I believe that he had previously done that.
If he said that he would support a Lieberman independent bid....well, that would be disappointing indeed.

He did not say what he would do if Lamont won.
I didn't know that he had previously endorsed Lieberman.

It would be virtually unprecedented for a Senate Leader to not endorse ANY incumbant in a primary.
It's the guys that say they will support him even if he loses the primary that get me steamed.

Bush and most Republican leaders endorsed Sununu over Bob Smith in 2002. Kerry just said he was neutral in the Ct race - and like it or not- he is a party leader.

Schumer made noises in that direction, once, but has backed off it since then and hasn't made a commitment one way or the other. I don't know of any who have actually said they will support Lieberman in an independent run.

16. My point is Reid can endorse whomever he wants - but |
|
in this case the good voters of CT will decide who they think is best for them. These endorsements are predictable, usually. I really don't give a rap who Reid (or any other politician) wants to win.
I wasn't aiming any criticism at you. I'm sorry if it came off that way.
