Three More Soldiers Dead In Iraq
Edited on Sat Jul-08-06 01:13 PM by AtomicKitten
3 Marines Killed in Western Iraq Province

According to today's AP article
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/07/08/AR2006070800316.html that's not so bad:

BAGHDAD, Iraq -- Three American troops were killed Saturday in fighting in the western province of Anbar, the U.S. military said. They were the first U.S. fatalities reported in Iraq in four days and only the eighth so far this month.

"Only the eighth"? It's only the 8th day of the month. So one-death-a-day is apparently progress.

Wow. The MSM has such a delightful way of trivializing war. Democrats have their work cut out for them dumbing-up America.

1. "Only the eighth"?
That jumped out at me when I read this earlier on Yahoo News. I am sickened by the MSM coverage of Iraq.

2. Pierce Bush expresses his regrets, and runs right down to enlist.
Yeah, sure. Mr. Unconditional Supporter of Uncle George demonstrates his grief at the loss of life among his peers.

3. I am appalled that there is no outrage over these senseless
killings for this bush war. And for what???? Unless one actually goes looking for it, we don't know what the count for the day currently is. I know, I know, "it's just a number." I do believe that if we had a draft, more people would be tuned in and then we would finally have outrage and, hopefully, more and more Americans would take to the street in protest. That's what finally helped to end the war in VietNam. This invasion (bush war) can't go on indefinitely, no matter how much this administration would like for it to go on until they get their hands on all that oil.

5. What are these troops dying for? We deserve an answer from *.
There were NO WMDs.

Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11, NOTHING.

Iraq posed no threat to this country.

So why are soldiers continuing to die for *?

Our troops need to leave the Middle East and come home.

No more war in my name.

Peace is the answer.
