If you don't vote today, Texas wins. (Mapchangers - Bill Winter)
Today's the last day to vote. Bill Winter currently trails Texan John Courage by only 19 votes! Please don't let Bill Winter down. 10 pm tonight is the end of voting.

You helped Bill Winter win the Progressive Patriot voting. Please take two minutes now to vote for Bill again--yes, again, in the final round--in Mark Warner's "Map Changer" competition:

Colorado has grassroots -- we showed it by winning the Progressive Patriot vote for Bill Winter. Let's flex our muscle again. Don't let the Texas candidates muscle Bill out of the top spot. You must give an address, but you can choose never to receive email. It's a small hassle for what could be big publicity and money for Bill Winter in his quest to beat Tom Tancredo:

Let's prove that we the people are retaking Colorado. Please vote for Bill Winter.

Bill Winter is a good man, a fighting Democrat. Although I respect John Courage, but why is he needing money on a losing proposition? What are his real chances? I have a feeling that it's pretty slim, but Colorado does have a real chance of bringing _ALL_ Democratic Representatives to the Congress, without one single Republican representative, so help Bill Winter, Angie Paccione, and Jay Faucett become a part of a winning Colorado team!

1. Gee, thanks for the help, pal
"I respect John Courage, but why is he needing money on a losing proposition? What are his real chances?"

Very good, thanks kindly.

Honestly, I wonder why we Texans even BOTHER trying to take our state back if we can't even get some support on a democratic board.

2. I am so tired of people writing off Texas! There's a reason
the Texas forum on DU is the most active state forum. It's because we're busting our butts to support our candidates and take our state back. Of course you're going to advocate for your local candidate, but there's no room here to bash the viability of other Democrats. We're all in this fight together.

Please don't minimize our efforts. John Courage is a great candidate who will be elected, along with a lot of our other candidates.

3. That is some real bs!
I have been good natured about this advertising, which I feel is a violation of the spirit of the contest in the first place, but this simply crosses the line! We are working our butts off down here & we aren't doing it to lose.

If you were paying any attention to current polling data, you might find that our chances are pretty damned good!

4. Bill Winter worked for Republican John McCain's campaign.
I want to see Winter beat Tancredo, let's agree on that point from the beginning, but before you run down John Courage (who's a true progressive Democrat and not a DINO), please get your facts straight. Lamar Smith is polling at a vulnerable 31% (see <http://www.burntorangereport.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=1215>) so you are absolutely mistaken when you question John Courage's chances.

John Courage stands a better chance of defeating Smith than Winter stands of beating Tancredo. But MUCH MORE IMPORTANTLY, when we elect John Courage we'll have a progressive Democrat in the House which is a more important goal than electing a democrat who's a recovering John McCain addict (which is not to say that Winter isn't a 100% improvement over Tancredo, and Winter is someone we all should support, but you ought not pass up an opportunity to support a true progressive Democrat like John Courage).

5. Hey, don't talk against John Courage.
He and Winter are posting together at Kos today. Trying to get unity.

You should not be talking down Courage like that.

9. Here is the Burnt Orange unity blog post as well
Check out this incredible unity post from both Bill Winter and John Courage on Burnt Orange Report. It gave me goose pimples reading it. What incredible candidates!

An Open Letter to Governor Mark Warner
In general circumstances, Courage supporters would fight tooth-and-nail for Winter, and Winter supporters would do the same for Courage. We're both challengers, we're both bringing the fight to incumbents who have left their (and our) districts as well as our nation behind, and we are both Fighting Dems.

In the military, we were taught to never leave a brother behind. And neither one of us wants to leave a fellow Fighting Dem behind either.

Governor Warner, we are both formally requesting a visit from you--please come join us for a fundraiser in Texas for John Courage as well as one for Bill Winter in Colorado.

We understand that this may be unusual and respect your rules of the contest--and if you cannot come to both of our states, may the best man win.

However, if you could accept our request, we would both be incredibly honored.
John Courage & Bill Winter

:patriot::applause:
