Why have people asked for a recount of San Diego's 6/6 election?
Both party candidates seem to have won by large margins. What is missing?

2. So it is just assumed that every election is tampered with?
Even if there is no reason to?

6. I believe every election involving the use of a Diebold machine is
tampered with.

Absolutely.

And I also believe any election "run" by a Republican Secretary of State could very much so be crooked.

Absolutely.

4. Repuke "operatives" mustered up 10,000 absentee ballots in 3 days
before the election. They were able to go door to door finding 10,000 people home who did not mail in their ballots, and just had them handy to give to the repuke volunteer, and they were ALL repuke voters?!?!

<snip>

Most polls shortly before the election in the 50th Congressional district showed Busby and Bilbray in a dead heat, although a Busby campaign internal poll reportedly had Busby leading by 7% just days before the election. While some suggest voting machine errors or hacking could be to blame, pundits have suggested explanations including voter apathy or a Busby slip of the tongue on immigration.

A Los Angeles Times article offered another explanation, citing an influx of Republican operatives who claim to have mustered up 10,000 absentee ballots in the final days before the election.

Kennedy calls that assertion “claptrap,” noting that it would be difficult for precinct walkers to find 10,000 people at home on such short notice, let along find voters with absentee ballots handy.

5. Well, I guess the main issue is it wasn't a legitimate election.
When violations and fraud are in easy access to the poll workers for weeks before the election which is proven beyond a shadow of a doubt, it would be defined as an illegitimate election.

7. They haven't asked for a REcount. They've asked for a COUNT - there
hasn't been a count on secure machines that we can be sure haven't been hacked as of yet.

8. Because when votes are counted on electronic voting machines
that are running on trade secret proprietary software and the vote count is not verified in any way, there's aboslutely no reason whatever to have the slightest confidence in the purported result.

That's why.

9. If a Republican won, it had to be fixed.
That way, we don't have to change our methods to attract a majority of voters. We just assume that we were maligned for having the right opinion.
