This is really great news, and it is showing a pattern. Alex is the wife of Bill McBride who ran for governor in 02. Trust me, she is a way better speaker and candidate that he is.
We need someone of our own in as Chief Financial Officer to find out what harm Jeb has done.
She spoke at the Democratic meeting last week and impressed us greatly.
Here is a portion of the mail from her tonight.
I wanted you to be the first to know the outstanding results of your support.
In the second quarter of 2006--April, May, and June--you helped me raise $508,586. State Senate President Tom Lee (Republican) raised approximately $298,000 and State Representative Randy Johnson (Republican)approximately $118,000.
Together, we raised more than both of our potential opponents--COMBINED.
Since I entered the race last fall, we have raised $1,242,632 overall and have $1,123,854 cash on hand.
The more than half a million dollars raised from April to June marks our strongest fundraising quarter yet and is a more than $200,000 increase from the January to March reporting period.
More and more Floridians from every part of the state are seeing my unique qualifications for this job and supporting my candidacy. Democrats, Republicans, and Independents understand that when it comes to protecting their hard-earned taxpayer dollars, fighting for Florida insurance consumers, and bringing more accountability to Tallahassee, I mean business.

She is especially concerned about the insurance problems in Florida, that they are not being addressed. Companies are cancelling, and ours might go up 70% soon. That is great fundraising, and we need her.
