Poll question: Honor Poll! Who has given $$ to Dems outside your district running in 06? |
|
Cold cash given directly to Democratic candidates or to an organization, official Democratic Party or not, that is raising money to help Democrats retake Congress this November, if you've donated let's here it!!! Sign on below!
Who did you support? Say why if you want to, or skip the details and just say YES!
There is always enough 2008 talk on DU. I want to recognize and appreciate any DU member who already opened up their wallet to help Democrats retake the House and/or Senate in 2006! Have you parted with some dough to support Democrats in States and districts you don't even live in?
If enough of us do, come 2007 it will be the Democrats will decide when the Attorney General must be sworn in under oath, when the hearings will start on the ways our Constitution has been violated, and what to substitute for the next Bush War budget!
Stand up and be counted!

But I have no problem giving money to candidates I don't fully agree with.

7. I've given to Webb in Virginia & McCaskill in Missouri for Senate... |
|
and Massa running for the House in NY. They would all be Democratic pick up seats. My current preferred 2008 candidate urged donating to those individuals and I was glad to comply. Eric Massa is someone who I genuinely like deeply and I would donate money to him no matter what any other Democrat said or did not say. I also donated to Cegelis during her Primary race for a House seat, against the choice of my preferred 2008 candidate by the way.
I really really want Democrats to regain at least part of Congress in November!

10. I have donated to 14 Dem candidates |
|
through Sen Kerry's PAC, Keeping America's Promise. All are candidates outside my district/state. Also directly to Bob Casey, who will represent me in the Senate when he kick's Santorum's ass. And I'm happy to continue doing it until Nov when we take back America. :-)

12. A lot of approaches taken, but we are all FIGHTING BACK! |
|
Fighting against corporate and special interest money that usually just write the check that buys the best congress they can own. That's why I asked if people are donating to candidates running for seats in districts where they will not be directly representing them. We can see the big picture. This is a sea change that has to continue.

Big bucks last month because I accidentally double-contributed. And I've done legwork and phone work for the DNC.
I will not give one penny to the DSCC or the DCCC. I tell them why when they call and beg.
I contributed out of my district to Anne Dicker in her state rep. primary bid. I contributed to my own congressional district challenger. I will probably contribute more to campaigns outside my district as the year goes on if I have the money.
