Someone just shared this. Nice mention. Wish I were going.

"This weekend, thousands will stuff more education and celebration into a weekend than they ever thought possible. They‘ll come from across the country to gather again for DemocracyFest, an annual event that shows citizens how to gain influence in American politics. The 3rd Annual DemocracyFest is a 3-day festival, which will take place at San Diego State University, from July 14-16.

On Friday, July 14th, Radio host Al Franken kicks off DemocracyFest with a live broadcast of “The Al Franken Show” coast to coast on Air America Radio. The following days are filled with a diverse selection of workshops and panel discussions, but the night‘s are filled with celebration. Attendees will be inspired and rejuvenated by celebrities such as Al Franken (former writer and cast member of Saturday Night Live), DNC Chair Gov. Howard Dean, Director Robert Greenwald, surf guitar virtuoso Gary Hoey, Laurence Juber (former lead guitarist for Paul McCartney‘s WINGS) and the Flying Other Brothers (keyboardist Pete Sears was a member of Jefferson Starship). More information and tickets are available on http://www.democracyfest.com Gov. Dean‘s speech will be open to the public." (and free, I heard).
