Novak confirms Rove was a source in outing Plame
gee, there's a surprise ... can we indict him now??

source: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060712/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/cia_leak_novak_10

Columnist Robert Novak said publicly for the first time Tuesday that White House political adviser Karl Rove was a source for his story outing the identity of CIA officer Valerie Plame.

In a column, Novak also says his recollection of his conversation with Rove differs from what the Rove camp has said. <skip>

In a syndicated column to be released Wednesday, Novak says he told Fitzgerald in early 2004 that Rove and then-CIA spokesman Bill Harlow had confirmed information about Plame. <skip>

In his column, Novak said he also told Fitzgerald about another senior administration official who originally provided him with information about Plame. Novak said he cannot publicly reveal the identity of that source even now. <skip>

3. Fitzgerald says he's not going to indict but Wilson says he might sue
in civil court. I don't understand this at all. Another point I'd like to make is Bush said he would get rid of anyone in his administration who was responsible for leaking the information.

4. Has hell officially frozen over?
I don't know what makes my head spin the fastest...the fact that Novak would tell on Rove, the fact that Rove leaked the identity of an undercover CIA agent and is not indicted or the fact that Leopold just may have been closer to the truth than some thought.
