I want a fight - Part deux: Language
For those of you who have this knee-jerk abhorrence to the use of violent metaphor for what it will take to win a majority in the 06 midterms - and later in the 08 generals - how about we talk about language?

You know. Simple shit.

Never say 'The President mispoke' when the truth is 'The President LIED'.

Never say 'Bush won the election' when the truth is 'Bush STOLE two national elections'.

Never say 'I have a plan' when what you mean is 'Here's what **I** will do'.

Never say 'We need to have a plan to get out of Iraq' when what you mean is 'I will work to get the troops home NOW'.

In some cases, stronger words will play well. Was anyone offended by Wesley Clark, in NH during the early 04 primaries, when he was heard to say (thinking he was off-mike) "I'll kick the shit out of them"? Same with Bush calling Adam Clymer an asshole. It didn't hurt him one damn bit.

A few well chosen and well placed milder epithets (damn and hell, for example) might actually show there's some passion behind the statement made.

Was Murtha's standing up that ass-boil Goehmert offensive to anyone?

Who, exactly, does Barney Frank's frank ways offend?

Use the words that say it best.

LIE

CHEATER

STEAL

CRIMINAL

DESERTER

CORRUPT

Words like that.

Tough words said with toughness.

And forget going on and on with Tim Matthews or Chris Russert with some wonkish statement of 'plans' and 'idears'. Keep it simple so it can be understood by the average sheeple out there.

It doesn't matter one damned bit what **I** think or **you** think. Its what the 'stupids' among our voters think. And make no mistake, the majority of voters are 'stupids'.

1. I don't mind the language, but....
..you are aware, as I'm sure, that other people besides progressives read this board, and that they'll jump all over anything that makes us look a little unhinged if it suits their purposes.

2. You know what?
I don't give a shit. Let them read What are we supposed to have? Some secret handshake? Some censorship of gut feelings?
