Italians, French, Brits, Greeks, others, evacuate their citizens, but..... |
|
Edited on Mon Jul-17-06 10:37 AM by Husb2Sparkly
..... we're 'contracting with a cruise ship company' ... and may get our people out in ..... how many days?
I just saw film of a Brit military Chinook on the gorund in Lebanon, loading UK citizens.
Where's **our** evacuation? And why the fuck are contracting with some cruise ship company?
Oh that's right .... **our** military is otherwise occupied ........ occupying.

2. The Katrina response was the norm, not an aberration, when BushCo |

is dealing with helping US citizens. It doesn't matter if it is within our own Country or overseas. You are on your own.

3. I smiled when I saw that on the news |
|
here in the UK this afternoon. Apparently it only has room for 700 passengers. From yesterday : http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/5184018.stm I'm guessing an aircraft carrier is somewhat larger than a cruise ship.

4. MSNBC is reporting that 54 amcits have been evacuated by helicopter |
|
to Cyprus so far. Limited number can go via schnook, that is why they are contracting the ships.
Runways are inaccessible.

5. They **just** reported from the Pentagon that |
|
They want to keep a 'low military profile' off the coast of Lebanon.
But they're sending the Iwo Jima through the Suez Canal. It has a fleet of helicopters on board.
The main point for me, I guess, is how fucking slow our response is.

6. It takes time to work out the kickback details. |

One does not expect conservatives to move quickly on these emergencies.
As soon as they find someone to make the proper RepubliCON donation, it'll be contracted.
Arrival? That's a different story.

9. True words, my thoughts exactly. |

I'm sure that * is thinking that these people are not very important. I mean, if they were important people, would they be in Lebanon anyway?
Look at Condi, she wouldn't be caught dead in Lebanon, well apparently she wouldn't be caught alive either.
