If only to protect our own citizens shouldn't we be calling for a cease
fire? We have 25 thousand people there. Does our government not give a shit. To paraphrase Bush. Or are they merely pawns so Bush can get what he wants? Whatever the fuck that is. I'm not going to blame the people who had the nerve to travel freely to a foreign country and get caught in a trap, but if I were them or I had love ones in the country, I would not appreciate this attitude.

1. They apparently matter less than allowing Israel to destroy the
country in its fruitless and counterproductive quest to destroy Hezbollah.

2. And besides, most of them are probably just Arabs, anyway.
Potential terrorists, ya know.

5. Not responsible for
Except for those who are there on behalf of the US, such as diplomats and families, they should have to be on their own. There are likely a few americans there who are doing business (weaponry) with those hitting Israel and others in Israel for the same purpose. They can take their good old corporate profits and go to hell!
Those people who intentionally walk on fire may well get a bit scorched. The ME today is certainly not the place for a friendly family visit or religious trip to the holy land or mecca.

6. Americans love war too much
to give a crap about the safety of the people over there. I know people from my church who have family there in Lebanon and go over there quite a bit. I know alot of people here in the US think it's alright if they die. That's a sad indictment of a country with as much power as we have and we don't seek real solutions nor peace.
