Stomaching Bush ain`t for sissies.

Leftists are probably turning their root cellars into survival camps right now and Libertarians are probably chopping up their library cards along with other forms of sensitive identifying information.
Those two groups have a fairly clear grasp on the degree of trouble we`re in, but the rest of the citizenry, the discerning moderates, have a really big decision ahead. Wish I could narrow this down to a perky, Rove-esque message, but the danger flames licking at my country`s ankles force me to set that wish aside.

Any human who can still muster the courage to swear allegiance to George W. Bush and his grievous policies deserves respect. They must have stomachs lined with iron and wills made of steel. Me, I`m a cream puff who folded long ago, crying during CNN`s very first Shock and Awe infomercial. My eyes were stll wet days later when Rick Santorum, Tom DeLay and other military experts marched out to offer a public explanation about fighting them there so we didn`t have to fight them here. I remember those speeches because I was staring at their flag pins and waiting for an animated star to pop up with a sweet, audible "ping"...like the star landing on a set of gleaming teeth during a toothpaste commercial. Ping...a flag...should I put my hand over my heart and praise God for the bombings?

How weak I am. Sunday I covered my eyes as I passed by a bloody raccoon in the road. I`m even too chicken to click on the WARNING,GRAPHIC posts here at DU. Guess you can imagine how I feel as my eyes follow President Bush around. He can joke about pig roasts or give massages to G8 leaders all he wants, but NOTHING he does can make up for the bloody path of suffering in his wake.
