1. Don't we want somebody with his taint in the general election?
Just like we want Katherine Harris running, instead of a last minute entrance by Jeb Bush?

4. Not in Georgia.
Folks 'round here will vote for him because he's "pro-life"

I want him gone.

5. which channel?
Everywhere I've looked has him trailing.

But, oddly enough, it's the only race reported at WSB Channel 2 with only 1 precinct returned. Maybe they know something the rest of us don't?

9. It's 2
Confession: I haven't gotten interested in any of these races. Hell, I only moved here two weeks ago--I've still got beating Schwarzenegger on my mind. ;)

14. It's ok! But that is the channel that is only report 1 precinct
for the Lt. Gov. race. All other races have something like 13 reporting. So, I'm wondering if they are taking orders from somewhere.

The rural vote must have come in for Reed big time - that's no surprise.

18. Georgia is 100% Diebold
and has been since the 2002 midterms, thanks to Democratic Secretary of State Cathy Cox, who is running in today's gubernatorial primary. She's basically the Democrats' version of Ohio's Ken Blackwell.

16. I voted for Cagle becasue he ran ads about Reed's connection to Abramoff.
However, Reed had ads out within 2 days saying there was no connection and that it was all fabricated by the "liberal media."

11. People say the other guy is no better, but damn, it's sweet anyway
To see that smug, smirking little con artist lose would just be too nice NOT to appreciate. I'm looking forward to much fun from him in the months ahead, what with his lawsuit by very the Indians he ripped off, not to mention his federal investigation, which is ongoing. And hey! Even if he loses tonight, we're not done with Ralph Reed yet; not by a long shot. Much fun ahead, boys and girls, and all of it courtesy of the nastiest little shit in Georgia. I'm just loving this. Can't wait for the fucking perp walk.

24. I concede he's a slimy smug dishonest loser
This is awesome news. Reed had designs on the governorship in 2010 if he won this race and would have been the favorite.

Only one problem: now he'll probably be asked to coordinate GOP election GOTV efforts, in the future if not this year, similar to his role during '02 in Georgia and '04 in the entire South.
