Oh, brother! Here's a quote that will make you want to hurl!
The same guy, who as Governor of Texas, sent record numbers of inmates to their death, the same guy who is primarily responsible for at least 1,000 if not many times that many deaths in NOLA/Katrina, the same guy who is at least partly responsible for about 3,000 deaths on 9/11, and the same guy who is solely responsible for 100,000-200,000 needless deaths in Iraq, stated in a publicly televised interview, w/r/t stem cell research, in August, 2001:

"I believe human life is a sacred gift from our creator. I worry about a culture that devalues life, and I believe as your president I have an obligation to foster and encourage respect for life in America and throughout the world."

8. " fire sale on lobotomies " -- one of the best turns of a phrase
I've ever heard! Made reading that odious Dumbya quote worth it!

:toast:  :hi:

And yes, indeed; the moran-in-chief is so far gone in his own little world of insane fantasies and hypocritical delusions that what he speaks is often quotable as the height of moranity! Total jaw-droppers to most of us.

I thought the same thing the OP expressed, that is, noted the contrast of Chimpy's words about stem cell research to his own actions and orders that have caused so many deaths he couldn't count 'em if he tried. In spite of the "oops factor" now proven to be an absolutely real concern about the death penalty, he happily refused the final pleas for mercy from all who were desperate enough to actually request it of him when he was governor of Texas. It's not exactly as if commutation of sentences from death to life in prison without parole is a kindness all of us would recognize as such, but those residents of death row did. Among all the other wrongs he has committed and orders for death GWB has issued, those cold acts alone rank among the worst in my mind. I guess it has something to do with the clear coldness of it on a personal, specific level.

Yet everyone in Texas knows, whether they will admit it or not, how often prosecutors in that state go beyond the call of duty to convict whomever they can in homicide cases and especially capital cases. Can't find the real killer? Convict someone anyway!

Realistic odds are that at least one or two of those executed during Chimpy's years as governor were innocent of the crime(s) for which they were convicted. Yet when requests for stays of execution crossed the moranic governor's desk, he didn't even pause to consider the issues but (one imagines gleefully) nixed mercy and okayed death.

From those actions taken one at a time to the mass deaths he knowingly ordered in sending our troops into Iraq based on lies for reasons, this one hypocritical human has proven time and again how much he cares about the precious value of human life....

6. George W Bush is a psychopathic sociopath...
<snip>
The psychopath is one of the most fascinating and distressing problems of human experience. For the most part, a psychopath never remains attached to anyone or anything. They live a "predatory" lifestyle. They feel little or no regret, and little or no remorse - except when they are caught. They need relationships, but see people as obstacles to overcome and be eliminated. If not, they see people in terms of how they can be used. They use people for stimulation, to build their self-esteem and they invariably value people in terms of their material value (money, property, etc..).

A psychopath can have high verbal intelligence, but they typically lack "emotional intelligence". They can be expert in manipulating others by playing to their emotions. There is a shallow quality to the emotional aspect of their stories (i.e., how they felt, why they felt that way, or how others may have felt and why). The lack of emotional intelligence is the first good sign you may be dealing with a psychopath. A history of criminal behavior in which they do not seem to learn from their experience, but merely think about ways to not get caught is the second best sign.

The following is a list of items based on the research of Robert Hare, Ph.D. which is derived from the "The Hare Psychopathy Checklist-Revised, .1991, Toronto: Multi-Health Systems." These are the most highly researched and recognized characteristics of psychopathic personality and behavior.

glibness/superficial charm
grandiose sense of self worth

need for stimulation/prone to boredom
pathological lying

conning/manipulative
lack of remorse or guilt

shallow emotional response
callous/lack of empathy

parasitic lifestyle
poor behavioral controls

promiscuous sexual behavior
early behavioral problems

lack of realistic long term goals
impulsivity

irresponsibility
failure to accept responsibility for their own actions

many short term relationships
juvenile delinquency

revocation of conditional release
criminal versatility

<snip>

A sociopath is someone who displays antisocial personality disorder as a pervasive pattern of disregard for and violation of the rights of others occurring since age 15, as indicated by three (or more) of the following:

- failure to conform to social norms with respect to lawful behaviors as indicated by repeatedly performing acts that are grounds for arrest
- deceitfulness, as indicated by repeated lying, use of aliases, or conning others for personal profit or pleasure
- impulsivity or failure to plan ahead
- irritability and aggressiveness, as indicated by repeated physical fights or assaults
- reckless disregard for safety of self or others
- consistent irresponsibility, as indicated by repeated failure to sustain steady work or honor financial obligations
- lack of remorse, as indicated by being indifferent to or rationalizing having hurt, mistreated, or stolen from another

The manual lists the following additional necessary criteria:

- The individual is at least age 18 years.
- There is evidence of conduct disorder with onset before age 15 years.
- The occurrence of antisocial behavior is not exclusively during the course of Schizophrenia or a Manic Episode.

Mnemonic
A mnemonic that can be used to remember the criteria for antisocial personality disorder is CORRUPT<1><2>:

C - cannot follow law
O - obligations ignored
R - remorselessness
R - recklessness
U - underhandedness
P - planning deficit
T - temper

7. Uh huh
...says the man who thought nothing of sending US troops to war on false pretenses. Says the man who cruelly poked fun at some woman begging for her life before her execution in Texas (it's in Bush On the Couch).

He has no credibility whatsoever. That sounds more like playing politics than an honest-to-goodness statement of belief.

is the wealthy and the well-heeled. The rest of us are fed to Global Commerce and death as soldiers in one country or another while the well-heeled sons and daughters do not see front line battle like Bush and Cheney. Bush supporters are a farce! Low-income can be fed to the wars and lack of basic needs. No wonder they support the conservative anti-abortion..otherwise where would they get their cannon fodder (they favor life only if you are rich or well heeled otherwise you can be used).
